Aim & Wild Expo 2012 hailed a huge success

What a great weekend of celebrating the great outdoors it was at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria recently, with thousands of visitors supporting the Aim & Wild Expo at its new venue! Visitors came from as far as Pietermaritzburg, Tzaneen, Vryheid and Kirkwood to support this expo, making this one of the best events to date.

Even the heavy rain on the first day could not deter the public from visiting the expo and excellent feedback was received from exhibitors and visitors in terms of the new venue, the products on offer, the variety of competitions and the demonstrations by angling and hunting experts.

Most exhibitors are very happy about their sales and enquiries are already being received regarding stand bookings for next year’s expo.

Meet top bowhunter at Aim & Wild Expo

Dr Adrian de Villiers, one of the true experts in the theory and practice of bowhunting and author of Bowhunting in Southern Africa and Whatever
it takes will share some of his stories on hunting non-dangerous and dangerous game, exotic animals and bowfishing with visitors at the Wild Expo on Saturday, 31 March at the Bowhunter stand.

Considering that Dr de Villiers was the first South African to successfully bowhunt the Big Six (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, Cape buffalo and hippo) on foot, his talk promises to be one spine-chilling adventure.

Dr De Villiers also developed an excellent way of preserving his trophies, by bronzing the skulls. These skulls make impressive displays, and bronzing costs considerably less than mounting.  More information about this method of preserving trophies will be available at the Bowhunter stand.
